Back in 2007, with a crisis looming in the real estate market, Frédéric Van der Planken felt there was a large opportunity in the market, the divide between asset management and property management being what it was. In the crisis to come, he understood that bridging the needs of the investors and the tenants alike, was going to be one of the key challenges to tackle. In 2008 this idea formed the baseline of Whitewood, combined with a true financial alignment between manager and investor. A new real-estate business, depicted by a beautiful stag of white and blue. As from 2011 onward, the first steps were taken in the Netherlands, culminating in the joint venture with AllFixed Property Management end of 2015. Today, the company has grown exponentially in both Belgium and the Netherlands.
